Welcome to the website of The Ryde Chorus - choral singing on the Isle of Wight

We are a charitable-status choir on the Isle of Wight of between 50 - 75 voices (SATB) performing 3 main concerts a year.

We have been performing a wide variety concerts of choral pieces of both secular and religious content for about 15 years all over the Isle of Wight and occasionally on the 'North Island' (ie the UK mainland!). Our performances are generally very well attended with many 'regulars' indicating a loyal following of music lovers on the Island.

We aim to be a friendly choir who come together for the joy of making music, each person being regarded as a vital member of the team. New members are always welcome.

Commitment and enthusiasm are valued more highly than technical perfection. The ability to sight read is not a prerequisite but the ability to listen, and to work with others, most certainly is. With this in mind, we always aim for the highest possible standard in all our performances.
